Bridgeland Place

Hindle Architects is working with Calgary Housing on the renewal of Bridgeland Place, delivering high-quality affordable units within an existing 17-storey residential tower. The project includes 203 homes, including fully adapted suites, along with a ground-floor childcare facility and a rooftop amenity space with views to the Bow River and downtown Calgary.

The project is defined by the strategic reuse of the existing structure and cores, reducing embodied carbon while working within the constraints of the original building. Within this framework, the tower is fully reconfigured to support a new unit mix and contemporary living standards, improving accessibility and overall livability for residents.

Targeted architectural and engineering strategies extend the life of the building while improving performance and resilience. The result is a renewed residential environment that supports Calgary Housing’s long-term objectives and contributes to a more inclusive community.
