In the spring of 2014, Hindle Architects was selected to design a new 15-acre masterplan and 75,000 square foot facility for the Westside King’s Church in Calgary, Alberta.
The proposed masterplan has been designed to create a new ‘urban village’ within an established southwest Calgary community. The introduction of recreational, residential, commercial, educational and spiritual programming within the 15 acre parcel is aimed at creating a vibrant mixed-use community for people of all ages.
The design of a new 75,000 square foot facility will create a new home for the WKC, welcoming a diverse and growing congregation with flexible and creative spaces for personal and collective worship. This project will include accommodations for vibrant youth programs, daily social activities, administration, celebration and worship.
